Greetings on this 26th day of June of 2006! You have arrived at The Georgeff Journal. The purpose of this site is to inform you (our friends, family, co-workers, and random blog-surfers) of our comings and goings with occasional theological and political editorializing thrown in for no extra charge. Feel free to peruse our tiny nook of the bloggesphere.
Phyllis (my first wife) and I are quite excited to be able to enter into your lives through this medium. We not only hope to share what the Lord is doing in and through us here at the Cornerstone Bible Institute, Hot Springs, SD (cornerstonebibleinstitute.com) where we minister but also to be an encouragement to each of you. The above picture was taken about a week ago in the Teton Mountains as Phyllis and I celebrated our 25th year of matrimonial bliss. (Wow...25 years with the SAME woman!) We praise the Lord for what He has and is doing in our lives--and the lives of our three kids: Justin, Jenna, and Joel. Justin and Jenna (along with two other CBI students) are involved in six weeks of ministry in Europe this summer. They have ministry responsibilities in England and Ireland. In England they will be helping out the Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, England where our former co-workers minister. (You can read up on their ministry at www.oursummerministry.blogspot.com) Brandon, England is where we were involved in various degrees of ministry-relationships while we lived in England for ten years. In Ireland Justin and Jenna will have two weeks of summer camp with teens and younger kids. They will be visiting friends in Germany as well. We'll definitely share more about this later. Joel is working at the local Pizza Hut and involved in the church teen group. Pray for Phyllis and me as we spend time preparing for the fall semester here at CBI. I'll be teaching 11 hours of classes per week. The five classes that I'll be teaching are: 1&2 Thessalonians, Genesis, Exodus to Deuteronomy, Apologetics/Worldviews, and Church Planting. Phyllis will be teaching a class on Teaching Children. Pray for both of us as we travel in July visiting family, friends, and supporters. We do look to Him to provide as we help prepare the next generation to go out into all the world.
