Europe's Fall...

Question. How many of you remember the historical figure, Charles Martel? Answer: he was the man used of God in 732 AD to lead a European army that stopped Muslim expansionism into Europe. That battle has been known as the Battle of Tours. What Islam could not do in 732—they are doing today. Today we see a Europe that is quickly caving to Islamic barbarism. Europeans today enjoy the comforts of life because of sacrifices of men like Martlel.

The Europe of today is surrendering to the Islamo-facists. Just think: Put on an opera in today’s Germany, and have it shut down, not by the Nazis, not by the Communists, but by the simple fear of the Islamic fanatics.

In the Europe of today if one writes a novel deemed critical of the Prophet Mohammed, as did Salman Rushdie, you will face years of ostracism and death threats. Furthermore, compose a film, as did Theo Van Gogh, and find your throat cut in “liberal” Holland. Or better yet, sketch a cartoon in postmodern Denmark, and then go into hiding. Quote an ancient treatise, as did the Pope, and learn your entire Church may come under assault, and the magnificent stones of the Vatican offer no refuge.

These are the same Europeans who consider themselves erudite when one of their own produces a film that pictures the assassination of President Bush. These are the same Europeans who bravely will trash the efforts of Israel’s right to self-preservation and defense. This is the very same Europe in which the Gospel of Jesus Christ went forth via the energies of the Apostle Paul and then later on through the likes of men like Luther, Calvin, and others.

The Europe of today is even different than the Europe of our fathers and grandfathers who fought in two world wars. The Europe of today is made up of spineless wimps who think it better to give-in to the Islamo-facists than to stand up to them as their fathers and grandfathers did against Hitler. The cowardly Europe of today consider most Americans to be mere flag-waving ‘hicks” watching their NASCAR races while carrying their guns in the pick-up trucks. And yet it will be those “hicks” who will probably be called on to save their buns once again!

While I believe that America is not too far behind where Europe is today. Perhaps 25 to 40 years is all. Having said that I thank the Lord for His sovereign grip on the affairs of men. Nothing takes Him by surprise. The Bible says “He works all things after the counsel of His own will.” He has a plan that includes the evil doings of men. His sovereign plan will result in His ultimate glory in all things. Praise God.
